Year 6/Letter 2

12 January 2012

Dear Parents

As part of our topic about World War 2 we will be visiting the D-Day Museum in Southsea. This will enable the children to have first hand experience of World War 2 artefacts and see the celebrated ‘Overlord’ embroidery.

Venue: D-Day Museum Portsmouth
Date: Wednesday 7 March – coach departs 9.00 am, arrives back by end of school day
Cost: £9.50
Dress: School uniform
Lunch: Packed lunch required
Adult/Child ratio: 1:8

Please send your contribution and the completed reply slip below in a clearly labelled envelope as soon as possible. Cheques to be made payable to St Francis School.

Under present legislation we can only ask parents for a voluntary contribution towards school visits. However if insufficient contributions are made we will cancel the visit and return any money received.

If you are able to accompany the children as a helper your time would be very much appreciated. You will need to have a current CRB clearance. Please indicate on the form below if you can help and we will contact you if you are needed.

Yours sincerely
